Introduction

This document explains how and when NikaTime collects, uses, and shares information when you use its Services. Questions can be directed to nikatime@nikatime.com.

Who "We" Are

NikaTime is built and run by Bond Touch Inc. References to "we," "our," or "us" mean "Bond Touch Inc."

For EU data protection purposes, Bond Touch Inc. acts as a controller regarding your personal data. Data sent to third-party service providers is handled by those businesses as data processors. A full list of third-party services appears below.

Information Collection and Use

Basic Information

When you add NikaTime to your team, the hosting platform provides an authentication token plus details about your team and its members.

The service stores basic info such as your username, team ID, and user ID.

Whenever personal data is needed (e.g., showing team members with first name, last name, and profile picture), the authentication token is used to request that information at runtime — for instance, when you visit your team's report page — and it stays in memory only for your session duration.

No personal data is stored in any database.

This information may be visible on the website to members of your team, but not to anyone else.

Google Analytics is used to analyze how users interact with the websites and services. More details about this service and Google's data use are at google.com/analytics and google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Payment Information

Stripe handles payments and Chargebee manages subscriptions. For paid NikaTime accounts, a team member must enter personal data such as email, credit card details, company name, and VAT number. That data goes directly to Stripe and Chargebee and is not stored by NikaTime. Their privacy policies are at:

  • Stripe: stripe.com/privacy/
  • Chargebee: chargebee.com/privacy/

Additional Information

You may provide information during conversations with NikaTime on your team chat app, within NikaTime's console, or in the NikaTime Report Center. If you email, the message, email address, and contact information may be kept to respond to your request. This information is also private.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files transferred to your computer's hard disk. Persistent cookies store viewing preferences and make them available on your next visit — for example, active report filters are restored when you revisit on the same device and browser.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically and allow you to refuse or delete them. You can instruct your browser to stop accepting cookies via its settings. Methods vary by browser and version.

Blocking cookies will have a minor negative impact on the usability of the website.

Third-party service providers (Stripe, Chargebee, Intercom, Google Analytics) use cookies that may be stored on your computer when you visit the website.

Data Sub-Processors

NikaTime uses various third-party services to help provide its Services, such as hosting and analytics via Google Analytics. These providers may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including cookies or your IP address. The third-party entities that may collect some of your data are:

Modifying and Deleting Your Personal Information

You can delete or update personal data by editing your profile in your team chat application — records update immediately and no previous information is saved.

You can also permanently delete your NikaTime account by emailing nikatime@nikatime.com.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Law and Harm

The company may preserve or disclose your information if it reasonably believes this is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or legal request; to protect anyone's safety; to address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect NikaTime's rights or property. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is meant to limit any legal defenses or objections you may have to a third party's request, including a government request, to disclose your information.

Business Transfers and Affiliates

If Bond Touch Inc. undergoes bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. Information about you may also be disclosed to corporate affiliates to help provide, understand, and improve the Services and those affiliates' services.

Non-Private or Non-Personal Information

Non-private, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal information may be shared or disclosed after any private personal information (such as your name or company name) has been removed.

Do Not Track

The website's data collection and use practices are not altered when a Do Not Track signal is detected from your browser.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time. The most current version will always govern use of your information and be available at nikatime.com/privacy/. If a material change is made (in the company's sole discretion), notification will be sent via email to the address associated with your account. Continuing to access or use the Services after those changes take effect means you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

GDPR Compliance

NikaTime is committed to compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a data controller, Bond Touch Inc. ensures that all personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently. Data subjects have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at nikatime@nikatime.com.

Our Data Processing Addendum (DPA) is available at nikatime.com/dpa and forms part of our commitment to GDPR compliance for our customers.
